PRIVACY

Privacy policy

This policy explains what data we collect through this website, why we collect it, and what rights you have over it. We keep it in plain English because a privacy policy you can't understand protects nobody.

Who we are

Metrimont Ltd (company number 16587749) is a marketing and media production company based in the United Kingdom. Our registered office is Fao Workwell Accountancy, Ground Floor East - Hyde, 38 Clarendon Road, Watford, Hertfordshire, WD17 1JW, England. For anything relating to your data, contact us at [email protected].

What we collect and why

Consultation enquiries. When you submit the consultation form we collect your name, email address, company, industry, and, if you choose to provide them, your phone number, position, and how you heard about us. We use this to respond to your enquiry, assess fit, and arrange a consultation. The lawful basis is legitimate interest in responding to a business enquiry you initiated.

Website analytics. We measure how this website is used: pages visited, approximate location at country level, device type, and how visitors arrive at the site. We run our own analytics on infrastructure we control. Your browsing data is not shared with advertising networks, and we do not use third-party advertising trackers on this site. Our analytics does not set cookies and does not use any identifier that would recognise you across visits.

Tracked links. We sometimes create short tracking links for our clients' campaigns. When you click one we record the time, the referring page, your browser and device type and your approximate country. We do not keep your full IP address.

Where your data lives

Enquiry data and analytics are stored on secure servers managed by us within the UK and EU. Access is restricted to the Metrimont team. We do not sell your data, and we do not share it with third parties except the infrastructure providers that host our systems, who process it only on our instructions.

Email

If you submit an enquiry, we will email you about that enquiry. We will not add you to any marketing list without your consent, and any marketing email we ever send will include a working unsubscribe link.

How long we keep it

Enquiry data is kept while your enquiry is active and for a reasonable period afterwards so we can pick the conversation back up. If you ask us to delete it, we will. Analytics data is kept in aggregate for reporting. Individual website visit records are kept for up to 30 days, after which only aggregate figures remain.

Client analytics platform

Metrimont provides marketing analytics to its clients. With a client's authorisation we connect to third-party platforms on the client's behalf and load performance data into a private reporting database. This section explains what that involves.

Platforms we connect to. We retrieve data from LinkedIn (via the LinkedIn Marketing and Community Management APIs), YouTube (via the YouTube Analytics and YouTube Data APIs) and Google Business Profile (via the Google Business Profile APIs).

What we collect. We collect aggregate, page-level statistics about the client's own accounts: follower counts, page and post impressions, engagement, video views and watch time, search and profile views, and similar performance metrics, together with the demographic breakdowns these platforms provide in aggregated form (for example follower counts by industry or seniority). We do not collect the personal data of individual members, followers, viewers or commenters, and we do not use these APIs to identify, contact or profile any individual.

Why we collect it. The data is used solely to produce reporting, dashboards and forecasting for the client whose accounts it relates to. It is not shared with other clients, sold, or used for advertising. In relation to this data we act on the client's instructions as their processor; the client remains responsible for data about its own audience.

Authorisation. A client connects a platform by granting Metrimont's application access through that platform's own consent screen (OAuth). Access can be revoked at any time from the client's LinkedIn settings or from Google's security settings at https://security.google.com/settings/security/permissions, and we stop collecting data as soon as it is revoked.

Storage and security. Data is stored in a private database hosted within the United Kingdom or European Economic Area and is accessible only to Metrimont staff working on the client's account. Access is controlled by individual credentials and data is encrypted in transit. We use cloud infrastructure providers in the UK and EU to host our systems and, to generate automated summaries of aggregate metrics, AI services hosted in the UK or EU; these providers process data only on our instructions and do not receive personal data. Data is refreshed from the platforms on a scheduled basis (typically daily or weekly).

Retention and deletion. We retain a client's analytics data for the duration of our engagement with them. When an engagement ends, or a client revokes access, the associated data is deleted within 30 days unless we are required to keep it for legal reasons. Clients can request deletion at any time by emailing [email protected].

Platform terms. Our use of LinkedIn data is subject to the LinkedIn Marketing API Program Terms and LinkedIn's Privacy Policy. Our use of YouTube data is subject to the YouTube API Services Terms of Service and Google's Privacy Policy (https://policies.google.com/privacy); by connecting a YouTube account you also agree to the YouTube Terms of Service. Data obtained from Google APIs is used only to provide analytics to the client that authorised it and is not shared with any third party except the infrastructure providers described above, who process it only on our instructions.

Your rights

Under UK data protection law you can ask us for a copy of the data we hold about you, ask us to correct it, ask us to delete it, and object to how we use it. Email [email protected] and we will respond promptly. If you are unhappy with how we handle your data you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
